Arriving by train
Radolfzell can be easily reached with the German railway (Deutsche Bahn). The regional express train from Karlsruhe to Constance (Schwarzwaldbahn) stops at Radolfzell station almost hourly during the day. Hubs for boarding the Schwarzwaldbahn are in Donaueschingen, Singen and Offenburg. Moreover, the ICE line Hamburg - Constance stops at Radolfzell several times a day.
At Radolfzell railway station, our shuttle bus will be waiting for you. For this purpose, please let us know that you will be travelling by train when making your reservation.
If the METTNAU shuttle bus should not be available in exceptional cases, you can take bus no. 5 to METTNAU (bus station just behind the railway station) or a taxi. Of course, we will reimburse any costs. Please get a receipt in this case.
Arriving by plane
Friedrichshafen airport:
For the onward journey to Radolfzell by car (about 1 hour), see above (arrival by car from the southeast). Rail connection Friedrichshafen/Airport - Radolfzell: Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the connection. Alternatively, you can take the city bus to Friedrichshafen Stadtbahnhof (railway station) and then change to the local train "Seehänsele". The "Seehänsele" connects the towns and cities on the northern shore of Lake Constance and takes you to Radolfzell.
Stuttgart Airport:
For the onward journey to Radolfzell by car (about 1.5 hours), see above (arrival by car from the north).
Rail connection Stuttgart - Radolfzell: Approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on the connection.
Zurich Airport:
For the onward journey to Radolfzell by car (about 1 hour), see above (arrival by car from the south).
Rail connection Zurich - Radolfzell: approximately 1.5 hours, several times per hour.
